Pfizer implements emergency ordering process for certain sterile injectables
Pfizer will ship certain sterile injectable products directly to customers under an emergency ordering process implemented yesterday due to high demand for the products after a tornado struck the North Carolina plant that makes them, the company announced yesterday. Until further notice, customers should place orders for these products through their Pfizer Hospital representative or by calling the Pfizer Hospital Supply Continuity Team. Products that were in limited supply prior to the tornado also may still have allocations in place, the company said. While Pfizer continues to post the status report for all its injectable products, the next delivery and estimated recovery dates for products made at the plant will not be accurate until further notice, the company said.
