Reminder: CMS call Feb. 14 on new Part D opioid policies

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will host a Feb. 14 call for clinicians and other interested stakeholders on new opioid policies for Medicare Part D plans that took effect Jan. 1. The policies include improved safety alerts when patients fill opioid prescriptions at the pharmacy, and drug management programs for patients at-risk for misuse or abuse of opioids or other drugs. CMS staff will discuss the policies and answer questions during the call. For more information and to register, click here.
