President issues executive order to promote access to rural broadband
President Trump today issued an executive order directing federal agencies to “use all viable tools to accelerate the deployment and adoption of affordable, reliable, modern high-speed broadband connectivity in rural America,” including health care facilities. Among other actions, the order calls for agencies to reduce barriers to capital investment, remove obstacles to broadband services, and streamline and expedite requests to locate broadband facilities on federal property.
