Fund created to help Nebraska hospital employees impacted by floods

The Nebraska Hospital Association Research and Educational Foundation has established a disaster relief fund to help hospital employees adversely affected by recent flooding and other severe weather events in the state. NHA estimates the flooding has affected more than 500 hospital employees to date, a number that could grow over the coming weeks. “We are thankful for the courage of the many health care workers that put aside their own concerns to meet the needs of their communities,” NHA said. “We also recognize the personal toll the recent floods and severe weather events have had on our hospital and health system employees.” NHA has committed $75,000 to the fund and is working with the AHA, peer state hospital associations, affiliates and service partners to collect additional donations. AHA has donated to the fund.
