The American Society for Health Care Engineering in July will present its 2019 Energy Champion Award for outstanding leadership in energy efficiency to Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee. The AHA professional membership group also will present awards to 66 hospitals that achieved certain energy reduction goals under its Energy to Care Program. The program recognizes hospitals that reduce their annual energy use by at least 10 percent over the previous year or 15 percent over two years, and prior winners who reduced it an additional 5 percent. ASHE will honor this year’s winners at its 56th Annual Conference and Technical Exhibition July 14-17 in Baltimore.
