HRSA seeks input on measuring health care access in rural communities

The Health Resources and Services Administration seeks input through Oct. 9 on how best to conceptualize and measure access to health care in rural communities as the Department of Health and Human Services’ Rural Health Task Force considers policy changes to meet their needs. “As health care continues to evolve and to transition toward a system based on value, we need to better understand what constitutes access to core health care services and how to define that care, particularly in rural areas,” the request for information states.
