A new toolkit developed by AHA’s Health Research & Educational Trust affiliate for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality provides practical, science-based resources to help dialysis centers prevent infections in people with end-stage renal disease. The free toolkit includes educational videos and other training materials to help clinicians and other health care workers follow clinical best practices; create a culture of safety; use checklists and other audit tools; and engage patients and their families in infection prevention practices. For more information or to download the toolkit, visit www.ahrq.gov.
