A new toolkit from the AHA’s Hospitals in Pursuit of Excellence initiative provides a framework and resources to help hospital leaders accelerate the elimination of health care disparities and ensure their leadership teams and board members reflect the communities they serve. Produced in collaboration with the Institute for Diversity in Health Management and Equity of Care initiative, a national call to action to eliminate health disparities, the toolkit aims to help hospitals increase the collection and use of race, ethnicity and language preference data; cultural competency training; and diversity at the leadership and governance levels.
