The Joint Commission and National Quality Forum will present three 2014 John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Awards on March 23 at the National Quality Forum's annual conference in Washington, D.C. The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program will receive an award for innovation at the national level. North Shore-LIJ Health System will receive an award for innovation at the local level for its system-wide initiative to reduce sepsis mortality. And Mark Graber, M.D., senior fellow in the Health Care Quality and Outcomes Program at RTI International, will receive an award for individual achievement.
