Michigan hospitals provided about 223,000 jobs and $2.97 billion in community benefits in 2013, according to reports released last week by the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) and Partnership for Michigan’s Health. The community benefits include nearly $2.2 billion in unpaid costs of patient care in fiscal year 2013. For more information, see the MHA factsheet.
