The AHA’s Association for Community Health Improvement will celebrate Community Health Improvement Week May 31 to June 6 with activities highlighting the value ACHI members contribute to advancing community health. “Let’s celebrate the terrific work community health improvement professionals are doing in their neighborhoods to improve the health of U.S. citizens,” said Kevin Alvarnaz, ACHI advisory council member and director of community health and wellness at York, PA-based WellSpan Health. “These health improvement experts are essential team members for assisting hospitals and communities to achieve the Triple Aim of health care – better quality, better health and lower costs.” ACHI is an AHA personal membership group that works to expand knowledge and enhance performance for community health, community benefit and healthy communities professionals.
