CareerSTAT, an initiative of the National Fund for Workforce Solutions and Jobs for the Future, recently recognized 10 employers as 2015 “Frontline Healthcare Worker Champions.” The award acknowledges health care organizations that have made a “lasting investment in their frontline workers by promoting internal career progression and providing access to on-site training and skills development opportunities.” The awardees are: Cleveland Clinic; East Boston Hospital; Homebridge Inc., San Francisco; Partners Health Care, Boston; Penn Medicine, Philadelphia; The League of Voluntary Hospitals, New York; Jersey City (NJ) Medical Center Barnabas Health; UnityPoint Health, Des Moines, IA; Genesis HealthCare, Towson, MD; and Urban Health Plan, Bronx, NY. In addition, Long Beach (CA) Memorial; Inglis Health Care, Philadelphia; and University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, were named “Emerging Frontline Healthcare Worker Organizations.” For more, see the NFWS website
