The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today updated the Open Payments website with 2014 data on transfers of value by drug and device manufacturers to physicians and teaching hospitals. The update also includes some 2013 data that could not be verified before the first data was published last September, CMS said. The data are submitted by applicable drug and device makers and group purchasing organizations. Physicians and teaching hospitals can then register to review and dispute the data before it is published. CMS plans to update the calendar year 2014 data in early 2016.
