The AAMI Foundation has released a free compendium designed to help hospitals and health care organizations meet The Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goal on clinical alarms. The Joint Commission will begin documenting noncompliance with clinical alarm management in 2016. The Clinical Alarm Management Compendium is designed to help organizations develop and implement the necessary policies and procedures. It includes specific advice as well as examples of successful practices already in use.
