CMS allocates additional navigator funding for federal marketplace SEP

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today allocated $2.3 million in additional funding to current navigator grant recipients in the 28 states using the federally facilitated marketplace to help enroll consumers in marketplace, Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance coverage during the special enrollment period that runs through May 15. 

“During a public health emergency, it is critical for consumers to have access assistance with finding affordable, comprehensive health coverage that best fits their needs,” said CMS Acting Deputy Administrator Jeff Wu.

CMS plans this spring to release a Navigator Notice of Funding Opportunity for 2022 Open Enrollment, which it said will increase funding significantly.
