The AHA today issued a Regulatory Advisory with a summary of the July 29 Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ final rule for the inpatient psychiatric facility prospective payment system for fiscal year 2022.

CMS will increase in FY 2022 IPF payments by a net 2.1%, the equivalent of $80 million. For the IPF Quality Reporting Program, CMS finalized its proposal to adopt one new measure, assessing COVID-19 vaccination rates among health care personnel, starting in FY 2023. Policies will generally be effective Oct. 1.
