AHA’s resources spotlight rural hospitals’ efforts to improve access to care, innovate amidst COVID-19

The AHA continues to spotlight the important work of rural hospitals tasked with caring for the nearly 60 million Americans who live in rural communities. The upcoming AHA Rural Health Care Leadership Conference in Phoenix February 6-9 will bring together the top thinkers in rural health and health care nationwide for a discussion of the unique challenges, opportunities and strategies for navigating an ever-changing health care landscape. In addition, ahead of Nov. 18, National Rural Health Day, the AHA is developing a compendium of resources to highlight how rural hospitals have risen to the challenges facing the field and continued to innovate and thrive despite uncertain times.
