Consumers can preview 2022 Marketplace health plans, prices

Starting today, consumers can preview 2022 health plans and prices at the federally facilitated Health Insurance Marketplace. Open enrollment for 2022 Marketplace plans begins Nov. 1 and runs through Jan. 15. For coverage to start Jan. 1, consumers generally need to choose a plan by Dec. 15, CMS said. For the 2022 plan year, 213 issuers will offer coverage through the federally facilitated Marketplace, 32 more than last year, according to a new CMS report on 2022 health plans and premiums in the federally facilitated Marketplace. Consumers in states operating their own Marketplace platform can also enroll in a 2022 plan starting Nov. 1. For more on 2022 open enrollment, see the CMS fact sheet.
