More than 8.6 million people selected a 2016 health plan between Nov. 1 and Jan. 2 in the 38 states using HealthCare.gov for open enrollment in the Health Insurance Marketplaces, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced today. The total includes about 83,000 people who signed up last week. Open enrollment for 2016 runs through Jan. 31.
