On the 12th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, a new AHA video celebrates the law for expanding health coverage for poor and working families and young adult children, adding coverage protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and eliminating lifetime limits on coverage, among other provisions.

“Beyond expanding coverage to millions of Americans, the Affordable Care Act also helped start the journey in transforming our health care delivery system to improve care and increase value,” notes AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack. “The bottom line: 12 years later we believe that the ACA continues to provide us with a solid foundation on which we continue to build to advance health in America.”
