AHA asks GE for information to help hospitals navigate contrast media shortage
In a letter today, AHA asked GE Healthcare to provide additional information to help member hospitals manage the current shortage of GE intraveneous contrast mediaproducts for computed tomography imaging. AHA said supply disruptions, such as the shortage caused by the shutdown of GE factories for these products in Shanghai due to a COVID-19 outbreak, can present significant care delivery challenges for hospitals, and that certain additional information would immensely help hospitals manage patient needs during the shortages.
