The AHA in a letter today to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator expressed support for the agency’s proposed updates to Medicare enrollment and eligibility rules to strengthen health insurance coverage and ensure ease of enrollment and limited gaps in coverage. AHA weighed in on entitlement effective dates, special enrollment periods and enhancements to state payment of Medicare premiums, offering support for each of CMS’ proposed changes in these areas.
