CMS issues informational bulletin on ground emergency medical transportation reimbursement
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services yesterday released a CMCS Informational Bulletin to remind states of existing federal guidance related to reimbursement of Ground Emergency Medical Transportation services in Medicaid. The CIB is intended to assist states in developing state plan amendments and proposals that are consistent with federal requirements, covering comprehensive cost reconciliation methods in the Medicaid state plan and the use of certified public expenditures to support GEMT payment proposals.
