White House releases additional details for 2024 budget request; see AHA summary
The White House today released additional details related to President Biden’s budget request for fiscal year 2024. The main budget documents were released March 9 — today’s request provides more granular detail and historical information. The top-line budget request is not binding but can act as a starting point for Congress and the Administration as they begin the debate this year on raising the nation’s debt limit, funding the government and improving health care. AHA members March 9 received a Special Bulletin highlighting some of the provisions affecting hospitals and health systems, including certain health care policies, such as Medicare solvency, behavioral health, prescription drugs, workforce and pandemic preparedness.
