South Dakota poised to become 39th state to expand Medicaid under ACA

Effective July 1, over 52,000 low-income adults in South Dakota will become eligible for Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced June 30. South Dakotans last year voted to expand eligibility, and CMS recently approved the state plan amendment.
