NIH awards $24 million to establish maternal health research centers
The National Institutes of Health has awarded $24 million to establish 10 Maternal Health Research Centers of Excellence at universities, medical schools and Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. The centers will develop and evaluate innovative approaches to reduce pregnancy-related complications and deaths and promote maternal health equity.
