2024 marketplace enrollment surpasses 7 million
Nearly 7.3 million people selected a 2024 health plan through the federally facilitated and state-based Health Insurance Marketplaces Nov. 1 through Dec. 2, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced Dec. 6. Eight in 10 enrollees were renewing coverage and the rest were new consumers.
Thirty-two states are using the federal platform for 2024 open enrollment, which runs through Jan. 15. Consumers should enroll by midnight on Dec. 15 for coverage to start Jan. 1. AHA’s #GetCovered webpage offers resources to help people choose the best coverage for themselves and their families.
