Letter to the editor: Op-ed on America’s hospitals misleads
A recent New York Times op-ed falsely claims hospitals are not living up to their mission, but the author ignores the myriad benefits hospitals provide to their communities, writes AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack. “Cherry-picking statistics and weaving together unrelated issues to try to build a false narrative undermines the hard work and societal contributions of the hospital field. ...
