HRSA announces Montana eligible for $5.4 million in federal funds for maternal and child home visiting program
The Health Resources and Services Administration June 11 announced that Montana is eligible for $5.4 million in federal funding this year for the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting program, which provides voluntary home visits to improve maternal and child health for families in high-risk communities. The visits promote early language development; assist with important topics for new parents such as safe sleeping, breastfeeding and nutrition; and help address family needs such as screening for developmental delays and introduction of early intervention services.
