House passes CR funding government through Dec. 20

The House Sept. 25 voted 341-82 to pass a continuing resolution (H.R.9747) funding the government through Dec. 20 and avoiding a government shutdown. The Senate was also expected to pass the legislation Wednesday evening. Among other provisions, the CR will allow the Federal Emergency Management Agency to access its full-year appropriation beginning Oct. 1. The bill also extends certain public health authorizations and delays for one-year clinical lab fee schedule cuts and reporting.
