CMS says record 16.6 million have signed up for Jan. 1 Marketplace coverage
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Dec. 20 announced a record 16.6 million individuals have signed up for federal Health Insurance Marketplace coverage that begins Jan. 1. Two million of those consumers have signed up for the first time. Open enrollment will continue until Jan. 15 for the 31 states that use HealthCare.gov and most state-based marketplaces for 2025 coverage that begins Feb. 1.
