Cigna’s Evernorth division Oct. 27 announced a new, rebate-free pharmacy benefit model, beginning in 2027, that would reduce monthly prescription drug costs by an average of 30%. Cigna said discounted prices negotiated with drug companies would be available upfront to consumers.
