Highest FDA recall issued for certain convenience kits by Medline
The Food and Drug Administration has identified a Class I recall of certain Medline convenience kits containing B. Braun components that have Huons Bupivacaine Hydrochloride in Dextrose Injection, which has also been recalled. As of April 24, B. Braun reported 35 serious injuries and no deaths associated with the issue. Medline had not reported any additional serious injuries or deaths associated with the issue as of June 19, the FDA said.
