AHA leaders this week are participating in the International Hospital Federation’s 2026 World Hospital Congress in Seoul, South Korea. On Oct. 20, Bill Gassen, president and CEO of Sanford Health and AHA chair-elect, moderated a session on human-centered solutions for healthcare workforce and system challenges. During Oct. 21’s plenary, Marc Boom, M.D., president and CEO of Houston Methodist and 2026 AHA board chair, will discuss the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare management and delivery. John Haupert, president and CEO of Grady Health System and former AHA board chair, will participate tomorrow in a fireside chat on how healthcare leadership is evolving in response to increased complexity, rapid change and shifting workforce expectations.
