More than 8.8 million people selected a health plan through HealthCare.gov Nov. 1 through Jan. 14, nearly 100,000 more than during the equivalent period last year, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced yesterday. Thirty-nine states are using HealthCare.gov for 2017 open enrollment, which runs through Jan. 31. The enrollment update includes data on plan selections by state and for top Designated Market Areas, which are local media markets.
