The AHA’s Health Research & Educational Trust affiliate is surveying adult and pediatric acute-care hospitals about their use of Lean approaches to performance improvement to aid in future educational programming and policy initiatives. Instructions for accessing the National Survey of Lean/Transformational Performance Improvement in Hospitals were mailed to hospital CEOs this week. Participants will receive a confidential feedback report comparing your performance improvement assessment with that of other hospitals nationally. For more on the survey, a partnership with the Center for Lean Engagement and Research in Healthcare at the University of California, Berkeley, contact AHA Survey Support at surveysupport@aha.org or 800-530-9092.
