Congress passes one-week stop-gap measure to fund the government
Congress today approved a continuing resolution funding the federal government through May 5, sending it to the president for his signature before the current CR expires at midnight tonight. The one-week extension will allow negotiators to continue work on a larger package to fund the government through Sept. 30, the end of the current fiscal year.
