Texas Health Resources has announced plans for a new hospital and medical campus in north McKinney, marking a major investment in one of North Texas’s fastest‑growing regions. The facility will be built on a 51‑acre site near U.S. 75 and Laud Howell Parkway and is expected to open in 2029 with 60 beds, with room to double capacity as the community grows. The campus will include a Women’s Services Center with labor and delivery and a neonatal intensive care unit, as well as an emergency department, surgical suites, cardiology services and advanced imaging. “The pace of our expansion reflects the urgent need for accessible, quality healthcare in this flourishing region and our commitment to the North Texas community,” said Barclay Berdan, CEO of Texas Health.
Local leaders noted the new hospital’s importance to the area’s growth. The facility will serve families in north McKinney and nearby cities such as Anna, Melissa and Princeton — some of the fastest‑growing communities in the nation. “McKinney is a place where families put down roots, and access to exceptional healthcare is essential,” said McKinney Mayor Bill Cox.
