Certified Materials & Resource Professional

The Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) certification program provides a national standard of requisite knowledge required for certification; thereby assisting employers, the public and members of health professions in assessing healthcare supply chain professionals.

The CMRP Current Certificant List, updated twice monthly, reflects all currently certified professionals.

The CMRP program includes the following elements:

  • Eligibility requirements that are a blend of education and healthcare-specific experience
  • A 115-item multiple-choice Certification Examination
  • A renewal requirement

The CMRP Candidate Handbook and Application contains eligibility requirements, a complete content outline for the Examination, sample test items, and instructions on how to apply online.

Important News: As a result of a recent job analysis conducted to ensure the exam is current and relevant, the CMRP exam will be based on a new content outline effective Aug. 12, 2018. This means that candidates who take the exam on or before August 11th will be tested on the current exam content outline, which can be found in the CMRP Candidate Handbook.

Candidates who take the exam on or after August 12th will be tested based on the new exam content outline.

Ready to Apply?

Candidates can apply online or via application (mail/fax.) Ensure you have reviewed the Candidate Handbook prior to applying.

The AHA Certification Center contracts with PSI/AMP for exam administration and other services. Approximately 200 secure Assessment Centers are available for computer exam administrations. Exams are administered twice daily Monday - Friday.

Renewal - $135 member / $225 nonmember
Self Assessment Exam (SAE) - $115 member / $200 nonmember
Logo - $10 (for certificants only)
Certificate/Pin - $25 (for certificants only)
