The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) yesterday presented its 2015 Gold Medal Award to AHA President and CEO Rich Umbdenstock (second from left) and Kevin Lofton (third from left), CEO of Catholic Health Initiatives in Englewood, Colo. Lofton served as AHA chairman in 2007. The association’s highest honor recognizes ACHE Fellows “who go beyond the confines of their own organization to continually contribute to the improvement of health care.” The award winners are flanked by ACHE President Deborah Bowen and ACHE Chairman Richard Cordova, president and CEO of Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. ACHE presented the awards during its Congress of Healthcare Leadership in Chicago.
