All Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies will begin offering identity protection services to their health plan members by Jan. 1, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association announced today. Identity protection companies will administer the credit monitoring, fraud detection and fraud resolution support services to plan members who opt-in for the services, the association said. In March, Premera Blue Cross announced that cyber attackers may have gained unauthorized access to information on about 11 million members and others who have done business with the organization since 2002.
