Senate approves Shulkin nomination for VA secretary
The Senate last night voted 100-0 to approve President Trump’s nomination of David Shulkin, M.D., to serve as Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Shulkin has served as VA under secretary for health since July 2015. His diverse health care background includes service as a physician, chief medical officer and hospital and health system leader at Morristown Memorial Hospital and Atlantic Health in New Jersey.
