Becker’s Healthcare recently named AHA Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Jay Bhatt, D.O., one of 60 health care leaders under age 40 who are “rising stars” in the field. Bhatt, who also serves as president of the AHA’s Health Research & Educational Trust affiliate, “has a long career of accomplishments, including time spent as the first chief health officer of the Illinois Health and Hospital Association and managing deputy commissioner and chief innovation officer for the Chicago Department of Public Health,” the newsletter publisher notes. In April, the National Minority Quality Forum named Bhatt one of its 40 Under 40 Leaders in Minority Health.
