The AHA today recognized the Greater New York Hospital Association and Healthcare Association of New York State for their $500,000 contribution to The Care Fund. The AHA last September activated The Care Fund to provide support to hospital employees in Puerto Rico who experienced significant property loss or damage from Hurricanes Maria and Irma. Each hospital in Puerto Rico identified those employees with the most significant needs and dispersed the funds accordingly.
