MAP releases annual list of potential Medicare quality measures
The National Quality Forum’s Measure Applications Partnership today released the annual list of performance measures under consideration for use in hospital and other Medicare public reporting and payment programs. The MAP provides pre-rulemaking guidance on potential performance measures to the Department of Health and Human Services. Its hospital, clinician and post-acute/long-term care workgroups will meet in early December to discuss the measures under consideration, and then issue draft recommendations for comment and further review by the MAP’s coordinating committee. The list of measures under consideration is open for an initial public comment period through Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. ET. For more information, see the NQF news release.
