White House extends most expiring COVID-19 medical supply tariff exemptions
The White House Office of the United States Trade Representative has extended through May 31, 2022, 81 tariff exemptions for certain medical care products needed to address the COVID-19 pandemic. Another 18 tariff exemptions will expire on Nov. 30 rather than Nov. 14 to allow for a 16-day transition period. AHA has urged the office to extend the exemptions, to ensure hospitals and health systems have the supplies they need to safety and effectively care for all patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
