Biden taps agency mainstay Califf to lead FDA
President Biden today nominated former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Robert Califf to resume his leading role at the agency. Califf, a cardiologist, helmed FDA for nearly a year during the Obama administration. He would replace acting Commissioner Janet Woodcock, who has led FDA since President Biden’s inauguration.
