CMS call tomorrow on No Surprises Act provider requirements starting Jan. 1
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will host a Special Open Door Forum Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. ET on provider requirements effective Jan. 1 under the No Surprises Act. To participate in the call, dial 1-888-455-1397 and enter conference ID # 8604468. Slides for the call are available here, and providers may email questions to provider_enforcement@cms.hhs.gov. CMS expects to post a transcript and audio recording here after the event.
In comments submitted yesterday, AHA strongly urged the departments of Health and Human Services, Labor and Treasury and Office of Personnel Management to restore the independence of the independent dispute resolution process in the impending regulations, among other changes.
