AHA will host a conversation between three of Cleveland’s premier health system leaders during the upcoming Accelerating Health Equity Conference. Akram Boutros, M.D., president and CEO of The MetroHealth System, Cliff A. Megerian, M.D., CEO of University Hospitals, and Tomislav Mihaljevic, M.D., president and CEO of Cleveland Clinic, will discuss the actions they’ve taken to advance health equity and strengthen partnerships in their own communities. Former CNN anchor Frank Sesno will moderate; AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack will introduce the group. The Accelerating Health Equity Conference is a joint effort by the AHA Community Health Improvement network and the Institute for Diversity and Health Equity to advance a shared mission to close health equity gaps by building strategic hospital-community partnerships and developing and sustaining diversity and inclusion across the field.
