Study finds income improved in states with Medicaid expansion
A study published April 28 by Health Affairs Scholar found low-income adults living in states with Medicaid expansion experienced an average 9.5% relative increase in income within five years following expansion. The results were concentrated among adults who were likely newly eligible for Medicaid following the expansion. They also had a 2.1% higher chance of earning income in the 40th percentile or higher.
